The beauty of my day day-to-day is it’s always different, it really is like playing a game of Tetris on a daily basis. Caroline and Kadeem have extremely busy schedules and a lot can change in a day, it can be anything from; trying to mindread, scheduling and rescheduling meetings, planning a 5-day trip where meetings need to take place in 4 different cities whilst also factoring in 2-days’ worth of travel – but the feeling I get when it comes together is always worth it.

Professional regret?

I try to look at it more as professional “learnings”. The main lesson I’ve learnt, and practice every day, is accepting not everything has to fit into a box – life as an EA is much easier and runs smoother if you take each task as it comes and tackle it the best way you can whilst making all parties happy!

Success at Kea is ironically a quieter day for me -
it’s a world where there's no internal or external background noise; generally meaning schedules are running on-time and my execs have what they need to operate in their "genius" zone.
Pre-Kea

My previous roles have been different to Kea, but naturally the role, expectations and demands of an EA are generally the same across the financial and exec search industry. Working within the PE/VC world has given me a huge advantage as I’ve already had exposure to the day-to-day of our clients, meaning I’m able to see the bigger picture.

What made you join Kea?

MD

I really liked what Kea stood for, it instantly felt like a natural and a welcoming environment. We all rally around each other when its busy and everyone in the team has a solution driven attitude, which is exactly what you need on a tough day!

How has your career developed?

MD

I've learnt it's OK not to have all the answers! Asking questions helps me better understand my execs perspective and be in sync with them.
